Docril 47"Awning/Marine fabric is a 100% solution dyed 9 ounce acrylic fabric and is our signature acrylic canvas that is designed to meet the standards of artistry, craftsmanship and performance, all the while providing the look of elegance and style. Docril is manufactured to meet the European quality control standards of UNE-EN ISO 9001 which demonstrates a commitment to a quality product while adhering to safety standards. Docril Marine & Awning fabric is a 100% solution dyed acrylic fiber manufactured with a solution dyeing process that saturates the fibers with UV stabilized pigments that make the fabric resistant to the effects of sunlight and fading. Docril Marine/Awning canvas is water repellent, mold and fade resistant. It is primarily used in the fabrication of Awnings, Bimini Tops, T-Tops, Boat Covers, Dodgers, Enclosures, Hatch Covers, Sail Covers, Windshield Covers and Exterior Cushions.

Docril has a 10 year limited warranty for the whole range of Docril Marine & Awning fabrics. The solid color fabric is guaranteed for a period of 10 years during which it covers any abnormal deterioration of the physical properties and color, given a normal exposure to weather and in the case that care and cleaning advices summarized in this website have been properly followed. The warranty includes the replacement of the fabric required to replace the awning, excluding other expenses such as postage, sewing and or assembly.

Maintenance is required to achieve a longer life expectancy and a better look of the fabric. We suggest cleaning your Docril fabric with a soft bristle brush and rinsing with water. For localized stains clean with a neutral detergent mixed with lukewarm water (maximum 104º F) and then rinse. The fabric must be left to dry completely before it is rolled up.

Foam FAQs

What are the characteristics of foam?
Weight-true HR quality foams are known in the industry as a 2.5 lb foam with a firmness that measures between 11 to 70 ILD. Everlon is generally known as a 1.5 to 1.8 lb. foam with a ILD range between 18 to 55.

Firmness-(ILD)Indentation Load Deflection is the measurement used to describe foam firmness. That means, the lower the number, the softer the foam whereas the higher the number, the firmer the foam which applies to all the foams we currently stock.

How long do foams to last?
HR(High Reslience) quality foams generally tend to last longer than Everlon foams due to foam cell structure and weight. Under normal use conditions HR foams tend to last anywhere form 10-20 twenty years. Everlon(Nimbus) foams under normal condition usage tend to last anywhere between 4-8 years.

How thick do I want my foam need to be?
A few examples would be sofa seat cushions are generally between 4" to 6" thick, dining chair pad seating is usually 1" to 3" and boat cushion seating is usually 3" to 6". Foam type and thickness all depends on your comfort preference and your budget.
